Position: Senior Safety Coordinator
Location: Brandywine, MD
Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 with potential flexibility

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to join our client’s team in Brandywine, MD. This position will assist the Safety Manager by planning, coordinating, and implementing their safety, health and environmental protection programs, ensuring compliance with corporate safety standards and industry regulations, and promoting a safe, incident-free work environment for employees. This is a full-time/permanent position.
- Tours and inspects smaller, less-complex job sites to ensure compliance with company, state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
- Documents safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures. Provides recommendations for correcting non-compliance issues.
- Ensures cited issues are corrected within designated timeframe.
- Maintains all site required documentation related to safety issues, including accident reports, inspection reports and training logs.
- Report concerns to safety management and ensure health and safety standards are met by coordinating, promoting, and conducting various programs and activities related to the safety management system.
- Document safety inspections, cite dangerous areas/procedures and recommend corrective procedures.
- Provide recommendations for correcting non-compliance issues and ensure cited issues are corrected within designated time frame
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as a safety professional in a manufacturing, fabrication shop, construction, or warehouse environment
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health or Environmental Applied Sciences is required or related field
- OSHA 30/10
- CPR and First Aid Certifications
Plusses
- CHST or other related safety certifications
