Day-to-day:
This is a customer-facing sales role responsible for selling and managing commercial mechanical service projects. The role owns the full project lifecycle—from identifying opportunities and preparing estimates to managing execution and closeout.
The ideal candidate combines strong relationship-building skills with technical understanding and financial discipline. Success in this role requires balance across sales development, project management, and customer communication.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow mechanical service business by securing new customers and expanding existing accounts
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key and strategic customers
- Analyze local market conditions, competition, and business trends
- Use consultative selling techniques to identify customer needs and align solutions
- Understand mechanical or electrical systems to diagnose issues and propose cost-effective solutions
- Manage customer relationships throughout the sales cycle and ensure ongoing satisfaction
- Prepare estimates, proposals, reports, and required documentation accurately and on time
- Represent the company professionally with customers, vendors, and external partners
- Support special projects as assigned by management
Must Haves:
- 2-3 years of customer facing project sales experience
- In mechanical or electrical industry in a sales or project management role.
- Understanding of how electrical and mechanical systems function in commercial or industrial environments
- Experience quoting & managing projects at least $10k-$50k in scope
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and general ledger software
Plusses:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience quoting and managing larger projects ($50k in scope)
Compensation:
Salary Range: $90k-$120k
Commission: Varies, but on the lower end $15k, some people make over $50k in commissions
Auto allowance and cellphone allowance.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
