Release Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an IT Release Manager to join our team! The Release Engineer is responsible for implementing and supporting automated software delivery processes that enable reliable, secure, and repeatable deployments across development, test, non-production, and production environments. This role serves as a technical bridge between Software Engineering, Quality Engineering, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to improve deployment speed, stability, and operational efficiency. This role will be hyrbid in Woonsocket, RI. Compensation: $55-65/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 3 years of experience in Release Engineering, DevOps Engineering, Build Engineering, Release Management, Software Engineering, or related technical roles.

• 2 years of experience supporting enterprise software deployment processes.

• 2 years of experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.

Technical Skills

• CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or equivalent). Source control management (Git).

• Scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages. • Application deployment automation.

• Cloud technologies (Azure, GCP, AWS).

• Linux and Windows server administration concepts.

• Monitoring and observability tools.

• Infrastructure automation and configuration management tools.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline.

• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

• Experience supporting healthcare, pharmacy, or highly regulated environments.

• DevOps, Cloud, or SRE certifications.

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, or Ansible.

• Experience with ServiceNow Change and Release processes.

• ITIL Foundation certification.
