What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Scheduler position at Insight Global?
A well‑established industrial manufacturing company is bringing on a Production Scheduler to support the shop during a planned transition and systems upgrade. This role is critical to maximizing machine utilization, meeting customer commitments, and aligning engineering, production, and project management.
You will own the global shop schedule, allocating blocks of machine time across multiple work centers and sequencing jobs from station to station. This role partners closely with Project Managers, Engineering, and Senior Shop Staff to validate routings, estimate labor hours, and resolve scheduling conflicts.
The scheduler will initially work within Airtable, with an upcoming transition to Genius ERP, and will be paired directly with the incumbent scheduler who is exiting—allowing for hands‑on knowledge transfer.
This position plays a key role in keeping production moving efficiently and on time in a complex, high‑mix fabrication environment.
This is a contract through the end of the year - we are asking that candidates only consider this role if they can commit to the full length of the contract.
