What are the responsibilities and job description for the Piping Checker position at Insight Global?
Duration: 3-month contract extensions
Hours: 4/9’s Monday – Thursday onsite, half day Friday remote
Interview Process: One round, 30 minute virtual call this week
Start date: July 6th
Must Haves:
- 20 years of piping design experience
- Strong Plant 3D experience is mandatory
- Proven experience checking other designers’ work
Responsibilities
- Review and check Plant 3D piping models created by other designers
- Ensure alignment and consistency across multiple buildings
- Correct modeling issues and enforce standards
- Oversee piping layouts before turnover to the HVAC team for isometric generation
- Validate work against one applicable piping code
- Provide technical guidance to mid‑level designers
- Support schedule driven deliverables
