What are the responsibilities and job description for the Archaeological Monitors position at Insight Global?
Insight Global is looking for Archaeological Monitors to support active projects in New Mexico. 2 days a week in office 8-5 in Los Alamos, 3 days a week in the Field for a 10 hour shift (potential for field days to fall on a weekend). Day to day: -observing ground disturbance, inspecting back dirt, surveying cleared ground, and examining excavated areas for signs of previously undiscovered cultural resources and NAGPRA items. -Placing temporary string and flagging around the boundaries of recorded Historic Properties within the Area of Potential Effects and/or for the installation of temporary fencing -Coordinating monitoring locations and activities among the Tribal Monitors -Communicating directly with the Subcontractor Technical Representative (STR), project manager, and Tribal Monitors, -Coordinating monitoring locations and activities among the Tribal Monitors
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Experience in the archaeology of New Mexico -A graduate degree in archaeology, anthropology or closely related field (at least a Master’s degree) -At least one year full-time professional experience in archaeological research, administration, or management -Ability to work outdoors in various types of weather for long periods of time

-Experience working with tribes -Leadership and communication skills
Compensation:$75/hr to $110hr .Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law
Salary : $145,000 - $220,000
