Position: Network Manager
Duration: 6 month contract to hire
Location: Brunswick, GA
Hours: Monday- Friday 8-5 on site
Pay Rate: $60 - $65/hr
Start Date: 1/26/26
Must Haves:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive IT/network and virtual infrastructure management experience.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing technology in a hospital or healthcare environment.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise virtualization platforms (VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V) and storage networking in a data center environment.
Plusses:
Licensure:
Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Palo Alto PCNSE, or equivalent advanced certifications preferred.
ITIL or PMP certification preferred.
Day-to-Day:
- Provide strategic leadership for the hospital’s network and data center virtual infrastructure, ensuring scalability, redundancy, and security to support 24/7 patient care operations.
- Manage, mentor, and develop network engineering staff to support wired, wireless, and remote access technologies.
- Oversee network and data center architecture design, implementation, and maintenance for LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, virtualization, and storage networking across multiple data centers and campuses.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, Joint Commission standards, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Collaborate with IT leadership and clinical departments to align network and virtual infrastructure capabilities with hospital goals and technology roadmaps.
- Lead major network and data center modernization projects, including core switch upgrades, wireless refreshes, virtualization platform enhancements, and disaster recovery improvements.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and budget planning for hardware, software, and services.
- Serve as an escalation point for critical network and virtual infrastructure issues to ensure minimal downtime for clinical operations.
- Develop and maintain network and virtualization policies, standards, and procedures for operational excellence.
- Participate in hospital committees related to cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and technology governance.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Expertise in network architecture (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, SD-WAN) and virtualized infrastructure.
- Strong leadership, project management, and team development skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, NIST, and healthcare cybersecurity standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with clinical and administrative leaders.
