NDT Technician

Position: NDT Technician

Location: Palmdale, CA (Onsite, may include some travel to Edwards AFB)

Shifts/Schedule: 4/10 1st and 4/10 2nd, potential weekend support after 6 months

Contract/Perm: 12 month Contract to Hire

Clearance: Secret Clearance and ability to obtain SAP

Certifications (can you receive these in first 30-60-90 days?):

• NAS410 Level 2/3 Ultrasonic Certification Required
• Eddy Current preferred

Must Haves:

• UT Level 2 certification (NAS410)
• Min 2 years of UT experience using automated and handheld pulse echo units
• Ability to pass General, Specific, and Practical Exams
• Active Secret Clearance
• SAP Eligibility

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Gantry systems
• Automated UT inspection systems
• Composite Material inspection
• Eddy Current Certifications
• Thermography and Shearography experience
• DoD/Aerospace experience

Day-To-Day:

• Perform UT inspections on composite aerospace components
• Review routers, procedures, specifications and other instructions for completeness and instructions to perform operations
• Operate and calibrate UT inspection equipment (handheld and automated)
• Document and report inspection results
• Provide OJT to Level 1 inspectors
• Engineer: Develop and implement NDT techniques, collaborate with design and quality teams
