Job Description
A leading retail organization based in Cincinnati is seeking a Maintenance Parts & Inventory Control Leader to oversee and optimize end-to-end inventory operations across its service network. This role is critical in ensuring parts availability, reducing operational downtime, and driving scalability through improved processes and systems.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of process design, project management, and inventory expertise, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and partner closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of inventory operations, including stocking strategies, inventory accuracy, and parts availability across service locations.
- Design and implement auto-replenishment systems for technician vehicle inventories, improving efficiency and minimizing stockouts.
- Analyze historical data, usage patterns, and seasonal trends to forecast inventory needs and optimize supply levels.
- Drive continuous improvement by evaluating current operational workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and redesigning processes for scalability.
- Create and present process wireframes and proposals, effectively communicating business needs and operational changes to stakeholders for validation and refinement.
- Partner with Program Managers and cross-functional teams to execute complex projects, managing shifting priorities, dependencies, and integrated schedules.
- Support the ongoing development and adoption of warehouse management systems and inventory tools.
- Collaborate with regional support teams and national vendors to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and accountability across functions.
This role requires a hands-on leader comfortable working onsite in Cincinnati, with significant travel (20–50%), particularly during initial implementation phases.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7 years of Project Management experience, with a focus on operational design and execution (non-construction, non-IT-focused).
- 5 years of experience in inventory control and parts management, ideally in high-volume or large warehouse environments.
- Proven experience with project management scheduling tools, preferably Smartsheet.
- Demonstrated expertise in inventory forecasting, leveraging data analytics and historical trends.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience leading teams and building strong partnerships with vendors.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Smartsheet project scheduling software.
- Familiarity with Maximo CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Strong background in data management and analytics.
Pay
$50hr - $55hr
