Role Summary
The Fiber Engineer will support large-scale FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) deployments with a strong focus on GPON architecture and Outside Plant (OSP) design. This role is responsible for reviewing and optimizing low-level designs from engineering vendors, ensuring constructability, cost efficiency, and permitting compliance.
This individual will act as a key point of accountability for engineering partners, ensuring high-quality deliverables are produced on time and aligned with project standards while supporting projects from design through construction.
Day to Day
- Review and optimize LLDs from engineering vendors for constructability, cost efficiency, and quality
- Manage and oversee third-party engineering vendors, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and deliverables are met
- Design and support OSP fiber networks, including feeder and distribution in GPON/FTTH environments
- Support OSP construction activities, field coordination, and contractor/vendor oversight
- Assist with permitting and ROW compliance across jurisdictions
- Track costs and support budget and variance analysis
- Build and maintain Excel-based reporting and tracking tools
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
