Title: Install Technician
Location: Greater Houston, TX area
- Office: 3413 North Sam Houston Pkwy W #212, Houston, TX 77086
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM (40 to 50 hours per week) Could be some 2nd or nights involved rarely, but could happen!
- If they have a school, it might on occasion be at night. Will be notified of this in advance!
Pay Rate: $20-40/hr dependent on experience, certs, etc.
Duration: 6-month contract to permanent hire
- Paid x1.5 for Overtime
- W2 contract
- Eligible for benefits during contract phase
Interview Process: 1 round in person interview! Can be virtual if need be, but would be 2 rounds
Please Note: Candidates will not be reimbursed for gas while on contract. Will need to use personal vehicle until converted perm, then will be given a company car and gas card!
Overview:
Insight Global is seeking an Install Technician to join our client’s Install team. This is a client facing position, involving installations in commercial properties, including stores, factories, schools, and pharmaceutical facilities, for the integration and implementation of security, intrusion systems, alarm, CCTV, access control, and surveillance systems. The technician will have a service territory of Houston, TX. You will mainly be supporting all low voltage systems within CCTV, access control, burglar, fire, and security systems . One can expect to support 1 project per day depending on the client. Upon conversion to a full-time employee after the contract period, you will receive a company vehicle and gas card.
Responsibilities:
- Report to the Install Manager to review reports and position expectations
- Supporting commercial national accounts. These are large box stores, k-12 schools, hospitals and more
- Collaborate with the Install Coordinator on weekly schedules and projects
- Install, service, and repair various systems, including security systems, CCTV, alarms, and more
- Work with other service technicians on large-scale projects
- Operate autonomously on small-scale projects
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of professional experience as an installation technician or in a similar role
- Security alarm license
- TOPS – Texas online private security
- Experience working with Bosch, Vista, DMP, Siemens, Honeywell, Genetec Access Control systems, Lenel, Notifier, Hanwha, Avigilon, Watchdog, Eagleye, Abrivo, or similar products
- Proficiency in installing and programming CCTV, alarms, security systems, intrusion detection systems, and related systems
- Once they plug it up making it work sort of programming!
- Must possess own power tools (e.g., drill, screwdriver, wire cutters, pliers)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Salary : $20 - $40
