Position: IT Support Technician

Location(s): Somerset, NJ 00873 & Chester, NY 10918 - travel between both locations (5 days per week onsite)

8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule

Duration: 6 month with extension or possible conversion to full time

Requirements:

• Previous IT support, help desk, desktop support, field support, or similar hands-on technical experience
• Experience troubleshooting laptops and basic end-user technology
• Experience with laptop imaging and device setup/deployment
• Experience with Active Directory, including basic user/account administration
• Comfortable working independently and supporting multiple locations/buildings

Plusses:

• Experience supporting RF printers
• Experience supporting RF scanners/RF guns
• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or 3PL environment
• Experience supporting technology across multiple physical locations

Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking a IT Support Technician to join one of our local clients. We are looking for a well-rounded IT Support Technician to provide Tier 1 and Tier 1.5 onsite technology support across multiple locations. This individual will handle day-to-day end-user and hardware support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, imaging and deploying laptops, device setup, asset tagging and management, and basic Active Directory responsibilities such as creating user accounts and maintaining account lists. The technician will also support and troubleshoot RF scanners, RF guns, and RF printers while assisting with technology needs across multiple nearby facilities. This person should be comfortable traveling between sites as needed, participating in an on-call rotation, and collaborating with the existing onsite IT team. The ideal candidate has foundational IT support experience, strong troubleshooting skills, technical curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly. Previous warehouse, 3PL, or RF device experience is not required, as the team is willing to train someone who has a solid technical foundation and is eager to learn.

Compensation:

$20/hr to $25/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
