Geographic Information Systems Analyst

Insight Global is looking for a GIS Analyst III for a client in Phoenix, AZ.

GIS Analyst III

Location: On-site 4 days/week - Phoenix, AZ 85050

Duration: 6 month contract-to-hire

Pay Range: $45/hr - $60/hr

Conversion Salary: $115K - $130K

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Planning, Environmental Science, Engineering, or closely related subject
• 4 years of professional experience with ArcGIS Pro and ESRI
• Ability to write, modify, and read SQL Queries
• Experience with Python scripting with ESRI APIs
• Professional experience using Snowflake
• Ability to create and present basic presentations to peers and internal customers
• Demonstrated ability to perform geographic information system (GIS) data analysis, including spatial data processing, visualization, and interpretation
• Experience developing proof of concepts (POCs) for routing applications and optimization solutions

Day-to-Day:

A client of ours in the environmental services industry is looking to add a GIS Technician to their team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Performs quality control checks of GIS data to ensure data integrity
• Works closely with field level personnel to perform GIS data updates and appropriate quality control
• Builds basic static and web-based maps
• Assists in consultation sessions with internal customers to determine GIS needs and requirements
• Works independently as well as within a project team to execute and deliver GIS projects of moderate scope and complexity
