What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronic Assembler position at Insight Global?
This would be a full-time employment 6 Month contract to Hire. The initial hour rate is $40hr W2. This role supports a DOD Program, so please apply if you are a current holder or eligable for a Secret Clearance. This position requires onsite work - reporting to work Monday-Friday near Downtown San Diego.
Required Skills & Experience
- Recent C4ISR or other relevant experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation and deinstallation of electronic systems, equipment, components, antennas, cables, cableways, waveguides and ducts, while using logic analyzers and digital oscilloscopes.
- Experience with soldering techniques.
- Micro Miniature (2M) “C” school or IPC-A-610/620 certification (Willing to be Flexible)
- IPC J-STD Soldering Training Certificate (Willing to be Flexible)
- Active Secret clearance or Eligable for Clearance
Job Description
Performs technical tasks to assist engineers with electronic systems. Supports efforts to plan, procure, fabricate, remove, install, and complete all mechanical and electrical work efforts. Performs equipment removal, cabling, connectorization, electrical equipment installation, equipment overhauls, fabricating and assembling electronics subassemblies, and calibration checks on electronic instruments. Experienced with using electronics hand tools, microscopes, soldering and de-soldering equipment. Experience in reading assembly instructions and drawings. Provides on-site installation support. Updates technical documentation. Continues to develop working knowledge of all operating standards, practices, and procedures, including safety procedures.
