Insight Global is seeking an experienced leader in healthcare analytics to spearhead a Clinical Business Intelligence & Analytics transformation for a healthcare customer. This senior-level role reports into a Clinical Applications and Informatics leadership team and represents a shift toward a more clinically embedded analytics function. The Director will bridge enterprise data strategy and frontline clinical needs, shaping an analytics vision that drives measurable improvements in patient care and organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a comprehensive evaluation of the current Clinical BI & Reporting team (approximately 12 team members), including workflows, reporting processes, governance, roles, and operating model.
- Define a clear vision for a modern, clinically embedded analytics function that supports clinical, operational, and research needs.
- Develop and execute a structured 30/60/90-day plan focused on stabilizing operations, improving team functionality, and delivering early, visible improvements.
- Identify and implement near-term “quick wins” related to reporting accuracy, timeliness, and standardization.
- Establish a clear, standardized intake and prioritization process for analytics and reporting requests.
- Strengthen data governance practices to improve data quality, reliability, and trust.
- Evaluate team composition and recommend changes to roles, resourcing, and structure to support a scalable future-state model.
- Build a multi-year analytics roadmap aligned to budget planning and organizational priorities.
- Lead efforts to modernize the enterprise data and analytics platform, enabling more timely, trusted, and intuitive reporting.
- Enable self-service analytics capabilities through modern tools and standardized dashboards.
- Democratize access to insights and build analytics literacy across clinical and operational leaders.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights that inform decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with clinical, informatics, IT, and research stakeholders.
- Serve as both a strategic advisor and hands-on leader, balancing vision with execution.
Qualifications & Experience
- Senior-level leadership experience in data, analytics, or business intelligence, ideally within healthcare or clinical informatics environments.
- Extensive Epic reporting experience across Clarity, Caboodle, and Cogito.
- Strong background in data visualization and BI platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with data governance, enterprise data strategy, and exposure to modern data and AI concepts.
- Proven success leading organizational change, team transformation, and operating model redesign.
- Ability to assess team skillsets and identify gaps without needing to be deeply hands-on technically.
- Bonus: experience supporting research, academic medicine, or data science initiatives.

Role Details & Logistics
