What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronic Assembler position at Insight Global?
An Insight Global client is seeking an entry level and mid-level Electronic Assembler to join their team fully onsite in Lanham, MD. This position will be a 6-month contract to hire.
Day to Day:
- Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawer, frames and cables.
- Responsible for working from diagrams and drawings.
- Continuity checks on work in process as well as completed work.
- Conducting quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specs.
- Responsible for disassembling, modifying, reworking, reassembling and testing experimental or prototype assemblies and sub-assemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Must Haves:
- Must have a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED): Required
- 1 years of experience in the field of electrical assemblies and fabrication
- Electrical and mechanical experience are desired.
- Must be able to read and understand Printed Circuit Board drawing and assembly instructions.
- Performs related duties as required by supervision.
- Experience with the use of measuring tools, interpret visual aids, interpret blue print drawings is a plus.
