Insight Global has an exciting opportunity for a Substation Project Engineer to support our client’s FACTs, GIS and AIS projects. This person will manage various discipline engineers and coordinate subcontracted engineering resources, client representatives, interconnecting utilities, and supply chain entities to ultimately develop the final design for AIS projects. Project Engineers work closely with Project Managers and take full ownership of the design process. Responsibilities: • Lead a multidisciplinary project team of engineers in developing physical, protection, and civil engineering packages for EPC substation projects. • Ensure all engineering deliverables meet schedule, scope, and quality requirements, and proactively communicate any design risks to the Project Manager. • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the client, managing all technical aspects of the EPC substation project, including construction and procurement topics. • Drive technical clarifications and interface with local vendors and contractors. • Be flexible to travel locally and internationally for client meetings and project site visits (approximately 20% travel).
