Director of Operations
Location: Irvine, CA
Compensation: $200K-$220K Base
Schedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Team & Scope
- Directly manages 6 leaders across operations and production.
- Indirectly oversees approximately 72 employees.
- Responsible for all assembly and warehouse operations at the Irvine facility.
- Operations include roughly 30 assembly workstations building customer-specific connector solutions.
- Products support power transfer, optical messaging, data center infrastructure, and other highly technical applications.
- Environment is quality-driven, manufacturing-focused, and customer-centric.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all assembly, manufacturing, warehouse, and operational activities.
- Drive workforce planning and production planning initiatives.
- Utilize technology and process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
- Establish and monitor KPIs across production and operations.
- Manage production schedules from inventory planning through final customer delivery.
- Ensure high quality standards are maintained throughout all operational processes.
- Support products that are ultimately deployed in mission-critical environments such as data centers.
Ideal Background
- Manufacturing and assembly operations leadership experience is required.
- Strong understanding of quality-driven production environments.
- Experience overseeing warehouse and logistics functions.
- Proven success with workforce planning and production planning.
- KPI-driven leader with strong operational discipline.
- Electrical engineering background is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Double E (Electrical Engineering) degree preferred.
- Spanish is highly desired.
- Strong English communication skills are required.
Must-Haves During Screening
- Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week in Irvine.
- Experience leading teams in manufacturing, assembly, or production environments.
- Experience managing quality standards and operational processes.
- Ability to lead through planning, scheduling, and operational execution.
- Demonstrated leadership over supervisors/managers rather than solely individual contributors.
Nice-to-Haves
- Electronics, RF, connector, cable, or related technical manufacturing experience.
- Electrical engineering education or technical background.
- Experience implementing operational technologies, applications, or process improvements.
