About this Opportunity
We are seeking a highly capable Director of Operations to lead and strengthen the day-to-day operations of a growing, high-volume tax settlement organization. This is a key leadership role for an operations professional who can create structure, improve workflows, develop scalable standard operating procedures, and drive consistent execution across teams.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, client-service-driven environment and knows how to turn operational complexity into clear processes, measurable performance, and strong team accountability.
What You'll Do
· Lead daily operations across departments to ensure client matters move efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
· Assess current workflows and implement improvements that increase productivity, quality, accountability, and turnaround time.
· Develop, document, and roll out standard operating procedures for key operational functions.
· Establish clear performance metrics, reporting routines, operational goals, and department priorities in partnership with leadership.
· Manage and support teams in a high-volume tax settlement environment, ensuring workloads are balanced and expectations are clear.
· Use operational data, reports, and key performance indicators to identify trends, bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
· Improve cross-functional communication, handoffs, escalation paths, and client-service outcomes.
· Support hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance-management efforts in coordination with leadership and human resources.
· Ensure operating practices support compliance, documentation quality, confidentiality, and professional service standards.
· Lead change-management initiatives related to process improvement, technology adoption, staffing, and business growth.
What We're Looking For
· Proven operations leadership experience, ideally in tax resolution, tax settlement, financial services, legal services, professional services, call center operations, or another high-volume client-service environment.
· Demonstrated success improving workflows, building scalable processes, developing SOPs, and managing operational performance.
· Experience leading teams, managing department leads or managers, and creating accountability across functions.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to review data, identify operational gaps, and implement practical solutions.
· Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and time-sensitive client matters.
· High level of professionalism, discretion, and judgment when handling confidential client and company information.
· Experience with CRM systems, case management platforms, reporting dashboards, or workflow management tools preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, finance, accounting, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
