Must Have Requirements
- 3 years of hands‑on experience supporting data center, network, or critical environment infrastructure
- Strong understanding of structured cabling, cable pathways, and cable migration best practices
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience installing, decommissioning, and migrating network and server hardware in active environments
- Solid understanding of network fundamentals (switches, patch panels, fiber and copper cabling)
- Ability to read and execute against technical documentation, diagrams, and written procedures
- Comfortable working in fast‑paced data center environments with physical requirements (lifting, standing, bending, ladder use)
Strong Plusses
- Proven experience working in live production environments where outages carry elevated risk highly preferred
- Prior experience performing live IDF re‑cabling or migrations
- Experience with decommissioning and failover activities involving active equipment
- Background supporting large‑scale network initiatives (backbone refreshes, high‑capacity network projects)
- Familiarity with enterprise or regional network standards and structured cabling compliance
- Experience supporting new network builds and data center expansions
- Prior experience working under formal change control or outage‑sensitive procedures
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Perform live IDF re‑cabling and cable migrations while maintaining production stability
- Safely decommission and re‑route active network connections following approved procedures
- Install and remove network and infrastructure cabling, trays, and pathways to support new builds
- Execute all work with strong awareness of outage risk and change impact
- Maintain clean, serviceable, and standards‑compliant cable layouts
- Coordinate closely with project leadership and network stakeholders during live work
- Document work performed and updates in tracking or change systems
- Support site‑level infrastructure needs including material moves and hands‑on support
- Adhere to all safety, security, and operational policies at all times
