About this Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of Insight Global’s Finance team as a Profit Analyst reporting directly to the Director of Spread Governance. This role will support the policy, framework, and infrastructure of employee profit distribution (spread), helping ensure that both corporate and employee profit is maximized.
Successful candidates will be self-starters that focus on quality results while seeking to understand and improve the processes and tools that impact their day-to-day duties. The ability to function independently and prioritize and pivot between tasks is critical.
Responsibilities vary by team member, but include:
·Perform weekly cost application (burden) audits
·For all employment types (domestic W2, International Deel EOR, Canadian T4, etc.)
·For various costs of doing business (volume rebates, contractor bonuses, workers compensation, equipment, customer payment terms, etc.)
·Communicate with sales and operational teams any audit findings and remediation plans
·Identify trends in misapplied burdens and provide corrective solutions
·Triage and drive to completion the correction of misapplied spread
·Develop and maintain burden and spread management tools for audits and employee reporting visibility
·Assist in the enhancement of existing spread policy, framework, and infrastructures
·Protect profit through cost recovery (burden) analysis
·Categorize and report on spread shielded
·Prepare variance analysis against P&L costs
·Determine if burden policy is effective in recovering those costs
·Make policy recommendations for improved cost recovery
·Exception spend reporting and analysis
·Partner with the compensation team to consolidate spread and compensation exceptions impacting profit
·Prepare comprehensive reporting on exception spend for leadership
·Leverage data analytics tools such as Databricks and Microsoft Fabric to support reporting and automate workflows.
·Other duties as assigned
Preferred Requirements Include:
·Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
·Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving, demonstrated through a track record of data-driven decision-making
·Strong Microsoft Excel skills, Detail-oriented and confident collaborating across departments
·Interest in learning how to leverage various data analytics tools to support team functions
