Custodian Janitor

The Environmental Services Technician plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This position is responsible for performing routine cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the facility, ensuring compliance with infection control standards and supporting the overall patient experience in alignment with CommonSpirit Health’s mission and values. EVS Staff – Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, restrooms, offices, and public areas.Safely handle and dispose of waste, including regulated medical waste.Restock supplies and maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures.Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and carts.Respond promptly to service requests and maintain a positive attitude toward patients and staff.Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.Support a culture of respect, compassion, and service excellence.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or janitorial work is a plus.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently.Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed.Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.Compensation:$22.00/hr to $24.00/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
