About the Role
We are seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join our EPC team. This role is critical to advancing a sustainable circular economy for lithium-ion batteries by transforming recycled materials into battery-grade components for new production.
As a Project Engineer, you will work closely with the Construction Manager, Superintendents, and cross-functional teams from preconstruction through project completion and production start-up. You will take full ownership of assigned construction scopes, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications, managing schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, procurement, and vendor coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned construction scopes, including scheduling trade contractors, utilities, structures, and vendor installations.
- Conduct daily meetings with subcontractors/crews to review schedules and resource availability.
- Analyze shop drawings, design specifications, and material requirements to ensure quality and compliance.
- Provide technical input for project work plans and schedules; identify risks impacting budget or timeline.
- Track daily production, schedule, and budget performance; document activities using approved methods.
- Oversee RFIs, submittals, procurement, and scheduling for assigned scopes.
- Ensure quality assurance through project specifications review and manage required certificates and inspections.
- Plan field layout and manage permits; conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and lead weekly safety meetings.
- Assist estimating team with schedules and provide technical input for design drawings.
- Coordinate subcontractor work methods and reconcile job close-out checklists.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
- 5 years of experience in construction engineering, scheduling, or design.
- Strong knowledge of cost coding, budgeting, and scheduling processes.
- Familiarity with construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, and building materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build positive relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; proven self-starter.

Compensation:
$140,000 to $160,000 per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
