Construction Materials Technician Insight Global - North Charleston, SC $19 - $21 an hour Job Title: Construction Materials Technician Location: Charleston, SC Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire Hours: M-F 8-5 (must be flexible, as weekend availability may be required) Pay: $19-21/hr (UNLIMITED OVERTIME PAY) Interview: One-and-Done on-site interview Must-haves High School Diploma Interested in working in the engineering field Willing to get ACI certification within a year (will be paid for) Computer savvy (word, excel, email) Comfortable with manual labor and working nights** Plusses * SCDOT certifications * ICC certifications * EIT/EI certification Day-to-Day Insight Global is looking for Materials Engineering Technicians for a large engineering consulting firm in. They will communicate about the project site and project requirements with the PM, other engineering technicians, and the client. Each they will meet with their manager, perform necessary responsibilities for the client; check-in with the PM with testing results; and contact dispatcher for another assignment or go home if work is complete. They will monitor fill placements, soil placements and complete appropriate laboratory data entry. At the end of each day, they will complete a digital report of their findings. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, maintain and clean equipment, and adhere to strict safety standards.
