Title: Estimator – Concrete Construction

Location: Michigan / Midwest (travel as needed)

A leading concrete construction company is looking to bring on an Estimator to join their preconstruction team. This is a high-impact role where you’ll own the estimating process from early bid stages through project handoff, working closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and support the full estimating and bidding lifecycle for concrete projects
• Evaluate bid opportunities and determine project fit
• Partner directly with general contractors, developers, and owners
• Perform quantity takeoffs, pricing, and proposal development
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors to secure competitive pricing
• Act as the main point of contact throughout the bidding process
• Identify and pursue relationship-driven and off-market opportunities
• Assist with project transition post-award (budget alignment, scheduling, manpower planning)

What You Bring

• 5 years of construction estimating experience
• Strong background in concrete construction
• Experience supporting or managing the full preconstruction lifecycle (bids, proposals, awards)
• Proficiency with tools like On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Bluebeam, Excel, or Sage Timberline
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and partners

Nice to Have

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Existing industry relationships in the concrete or construction space
