A Civil Engineering company is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage site development projects, design stormwater management systems, and produce detailed engineering plans using industry-standard software. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Management
- Oversee day-to-day activities on project sites to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to resolve field issues promptly.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports.
- Stormwater Management
- Design and analyze stormwater systems in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations for drainage systems.
- Prepare stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP) and erosion control measures.
- Design & Drafting
- Develop detailed civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD, HydroCAD, and StormCAD.
- Prepare grading, drainage, and utility plans for site development projects.
- Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and client specifications.
- Project Coordination
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Communicate effectively with clients and provide technical support during project execution.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: 4-8 years in civil/site design and stormwater management.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, HydroCAD, and StormCAD.
- Knowledge of local stormwater regulations and permitting processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Required Experience:
- Needs design and management experience with site development and site stormwater management.

- NJ and NY state agencies/departments (NYC DOB, NYSDEC, zoning, NJDEP, etc)
- Can't have more experience in construction inspection than in civil engineering.
Compensation:
$90,000 to $150,000 per year annual salary
