About the Role
Our client, an industry innovator in advanced manufacturing technology, is seeking a Buyer to support procurement and supply chain operations. You’ll help ensure timely material availability, cost optimization, and strong supplier relationships to keep production running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage purchase orders in ERP systems
- Monitor order confirmations and follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve delays or quality issues
- Maintain accurate supplier records and assist in evaluating performance
- Support cost analysis and assist in negotiations for competitive pricing
- Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Track material availability and update inventory records
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed
- Collaborate with production, planning, and logistics teams to align purchasing with operational needs
- Support new product launches by ensuring material readiness
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement, or related field (preferred)
- OR equivalent experience in purchasing or supply chain
- ~1–2 years in purchasing or procurement
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills
- Ability to build and maintain supplier relationships
