JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a full-time position and will be 100% onsite in New Orleans, LA. We are offering a max salary for 140k. The client is is seeking a Business-Focused Project Manager who acts as a business liaison and process leader, rather than a technology-focused PM. This role is critical for guiding business units through operational transitions, rewriting processes, and ensuring adoption of systems and workflows. The ideal candidate will spend most of their time embedded in the business—working with field teams, documenting processes, and driving readiness—rather than managing technical resources or system configurations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the connector between business units and IT, ensuring alignment and readiness.
- Lead business process documentation and redesign to match system-driven workflows.
- Develop and maintain project plans focused on business-side activities.
- Facilitate workshops and field observations to capture real-world processes.
- Drive change management and training efforts, teaching teams how to adapt to new processes and systems.
- Ensure smooth integration during M\&A transitions
- Support cutover planning and post-go-live stabilization from a business perspective.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5 Years of Experience within Project Management and Business Analysis Innovative, Solution-Orientated Mindset
- Experience working directly with business users and functional teams.
- Ability to lead multiple workstreams and ensure business readiness.
- Comfortable documenting processes in the field and translating them into system workflows.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills—able to guide and influence diplomatically.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Utility industry experience (helpful for terminology and processes).
- M\&A transition experience.
- Familiarity with Oracle or SAP
- Exposure to consulting-led transformation projects (e.g., Accenture)
