Job Overview
Insight Global is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overall upkeep of a commercial facility supporting our client in Warwick, RI. This individual will maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, and building systems, respond to maintenance requests, coordinate with contractors, and ensure compliance with safety standards. The position is onsite and operates on a rotating first-shift schedule.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing:
HVAC systems
Electrical systems
Plumbing systems
- Experience with Fire Alarm systems
- Experience using a Building Management System (BMS)
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Strong computer skills and ability to document maintenance activities
- Ability to diagnose issues and perform repairs independently
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environmental conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- EPA Certification
- OSHA 10 Certification
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Experience coordinating and managing outside contractors
- Experience in commercial facilities or corporate campus environments
