Locations: Mobile, AL | Nashville, TN | Gulfport, MS

Duration: 12 Months | Full-Time

Compensation: $56.73/hr – $69.70/hr

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Architect to join a multidisciplinary design team in a hands-on production role. This position involves managing multiple projects focused on industrial and manufacturing facilities, with occasional commercial work. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership potential, and proficiency in advanced design tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute architectural design for industrial/manufacturing facilities
• Produce detailed drawings, specifications, layouts, and life-safety plans
• Perform energy compliance checks using COMCheck
• Develop roof and wall assemblies, renderings, and address unique design conditions (approx. 55% of time in Revit)
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, clients, and project managers
• Participate in weekly client meetings and support permitting and construction administration

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Architect (strongly preferred)
• 6 years of industrial building design experience (large commercial/government acceptable)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Knowledge of Life Safety Code, IBC, and fire protection planning
• Familiarity with energy compliance processes (COMCheck)
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications

• LEED Certification
• Experience with industrial materials (concrete, block, metal; no wood/timber)
