What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aircraft Painter position at Insight Global?

Abrasive Blasters:
- Large scale abrasive blast removal of preservation coatings of interior and exterior submarine tanks
- Small and Large Scale abrasive blast surface preparation of external hull, free flood and superstructure surfaces.
- Blast Equipment staging and set up.
- Blast Media recovery.
- Small area vacuum blasting of submarine hull or interior surfaces in preparation for painting. Marine Painters:
- Remove and apply paint coatings on submarines and submarine components.
- Prepare and paint/preserve surfaces of submarine’s interior and exterior tanks.
- Use power & hand tools in preparing submarine component & foundation surfaces for preservation.
- Needle gun, prepare and preserve interior bilges and waterways.
- Groom and final paint -out submarine compartments.
- Perform cover -up to protect all equipment and surfaces from dust, paint and damage utilizing
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Security Clearance: Must be eligible for or hold an active security clearance (due to defense - related work).
- Require SSPC C7 (blaster) and/or C12 (spray painter) qualification
- Trained and qualified to wear safety harnesses and work from scaffolds/platforms or other awkward surfaces
- Trained and qualified to wear respiratory protection devices Painter
Skill Requirements:
• At least two (2) years of experience in the painting trade in heavy industry or on marine vessels, to include experience performing surface preparation for painting. Abrasive Blaster Requirements:
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience performing abrasive blasting operations on/in commercial ship or U.S. Navy ships/submarines.
