Job Title: Entry-Level Staff Accountant
Location: Cleveland, TN (Onsite – 5 days/week)
Salary: $55,000 – $58,000
Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional accounting environment while building a strong foundation in financial operations.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation of journal entries and support general ledger maintenance
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet accounts
- Support month-end close activities and ensure deadlines are met
- Gather and analyze financial data for reporting purposes
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Provide support during internal and external audits as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (debits, credits, financial statements)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Internship experience in accounting, finance, or related field
- Exposure to accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
