We are seeking a highly skilled Project Specialist to serve as the on-site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for commercial security projects. This role requires extensive experience in access control systems, networking, and IP-based security technologies. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects while providing technical leadership and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the SME on-site for assigned security projects (typically 2–3 projects depending on size and scope).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project teams and clients, ensuring smooth communication and issue resolution.
- Perform QA/QC inspections on panels and terminations, verifying compliance with design and standards.
- Execute patch work not contracted out, including network and device connections.
- Assist with testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of security systems.
- Interpret and work with network schematics and topologies, including:
- Connecting routers, switches, and devices.
- Assigning ports for IP cameras and other networked components.
- Support access control systems (Lenel and Software House):
- Lenel Scenarios:
- Load base scripts, commission, test, and wipe systems.
- Inspect panel terminations and verify power/network readiness for client testing.
- Perform contracted programming when required.
- Software House: Familiarity with iSTAR and GSTAR hardware; basic understanding of C * CURE software.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and ensure proper installation and termination of panels.
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, scripts, and test results.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Security Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in commercial security systems.
- Access Control Expertise: Strong knowledge of Lenel and Software House platforms.
- Networking Skills: Ability to read and interpret network topologies, patching diagrams, and configure routers/switches.
- IP Camera Integration: Understanding of camera patching and port assignments.
- Familiarity with panel terminations, power/network application, and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on-site.
- Excellent communication skills for client and team interaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Lenel certification (can be obtained post-hire if not already certified).
- Familiarity with C * CURE software and related hardware.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
