Job Summary

Academic Affairs and the Office of Academic Operations is seeking a Student Office Assistant who will work closely with our staff with daily clerical needs and projects. Student Office Assistants will have the ability to navigate and abide by MGA institutional polices. Student Assistants report directly to the Student Assistant Supervisor. This is a part-time position working up to 19 hours a week.

Responsibilities

  • Scan, file, copy, mail, shred, and retrieve documents as required by the Academic Affairs and Academic Operations staff.
  • Assist staff during high volume project needs.
  • Maintain acceptable and professional quality phone service and productivity performance.
  • Adhere to Data Safety per the USG¿s and MGA¿s technical and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Perform duties assigned by staff.
  • Must be dependable and prompt while maintaining his/her academic workload and handling a student assistant opportunity.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum GPA of 2.0
  • Currently enrolled student at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours
  • Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Student assistants must have knowledge of computers and different software programs.
  • Any prior job experience in an office environment is helpful, but not necessary.
  • Student assistants are required to follow all employee policies and procedures.
