Advertised Job Summary:
Responsible for accurately preparing and maintaining all payroll records in an ERP HR/Payroll system in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations. This includes interpreting and analyzing gross pay, tax implications, state retirement implications, and other special issues that arise. Provides guidance to employees concerning payroll issues.
Job Related Minimum Required Education And Experience:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Provide assistance and make necessary preparations for processing payroll on a bi-monthly basis, which involves resolving any issues that may arise, entering and reconciling garnishments, ensuring that International Treaties are applied correctly, verifying the accuracy of student FICA tax statuses, keeping overpayment calculations and repayment schedules up to date. Additionally, determine if there are any outstanding benefit premiums, arrears, or retro benefits that need to be addressed in order to ensure accurate billing of employee benefits.

Efficiently managing payroll processing within set deadlines with minimal manual involvement, handling adjustments for annual leave payouts, contract pays, pay basis changes, award gross ups, taxable benefits, and uploading deductions for general, insurance, and retirement. Reviewing and inputting bank reversals and reissuances.
Job Duty:
Analyze and input International Tax Treaties. Collaborate with OIS and international personnel to ensure the timely application or removal of the appropriate tax treaties.
