Brief Description
Required Skills/Abilities:
As the Inventory Specialist, you will report to the Inventory/Materials Manager or anyone of like status. You will be responsible for ensuring the organization’s inventory is accurate.
You will generate transfer orders as required; track orders and investigate problems. Maintain physical count of inventory and reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels throughout the company’s global network of warehouses for daily distribution while minimizing excess supply.
Brief Description
- Responsible for creating and completing domestic transfer orders and return order entry.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels at all warehouses and perform reconciliation.
- Execute the cycle count process and investigate variances.
- Generate shipping documentation for domestic 3PL warehouse.
- Analyze receipt documentation when there are discrepancies, and complete inventory adjustment.
- Address any damage of product with necessary warehouse and Quality Control (QC) and correct the inventory.
- Execute relabel of products.
- Ensure the accurate and timely receipt of inventory, tracking the flow of inbound raw materials and finished goods.
- Collaborate with production and quality control to optimize scheduling and planning function.
- Assists with periodic (at least annually) physical inventory audits.
- Other job duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- High school diploma or GED preferred, or related trade school education acceptable.
- 2-3 years’ experience in logistics and warehouse inventory management.
- Knowledge of proper freight handling/loading techniques.
- Must be detailed and organized.
- Proficient computer and ERP skills required. MS Dynamics strongly preferred.
- Located in an office with potential time spent in the chemical and shipping warehouse. Must wear designated safety gear when appropriate.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds; squatting and kneeling.
