Skills/Abilities:
This position requires an individual who is independent and team oriented. This role is based in our headquarters in the Philadelphia office. The candidate will be responsible for driving sales to the assigned accounts included, but not limited to multinationals, contract manufacturers, indie brands, as well as formulation and consultant labs. The assigned accounts are located across the East Coast, with most of the accounts located in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Connecticut.
Sales Responsibilities
- Driving Sales by proactively working with customer needs, including, but not limited to technical support questions, sample documentation, regulatory and pricing requests
- Managing sales by planning and setting up meetings with R&D, Procurement, and Senior Leadership Teams.
- Building relationships with target contacts at target accounts and continuing to nourish these relationships.
- Manage future sales by setting up sales budget, sales forecast and building the opportunity pipeline.
- Use Inolex CRM to enter customer call reports, opportunities and requests as well as to review sales growth & order patterns.
- Work collaboratively with Inolex R&D team to learn about Inolex current portfolio, product lines and R&D services we offer including, but not limited to (PET, Technical Support, Product Stewarship, Sustainability, etc.)
- Work collaboratively with Product Stewardship team to learn about product regulation and compliance information in order to to answer customer questions.
- Work collaboratively with our Customer Success team to manage customer requests from purchase orders, invoices, orders return, pricing negotiation and anything related to open orders.
- Work collaboratively with Supply Chain team to communicate sales forecast and customer opportunities.
- Attend industry exhibitions in the allocated territory
- Required to travel to customers with overnight travel in some cases.
- The role is based in Philadelphia office with occasional travel to manufacturing plant in Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Serve as Inolex ambassador on social media platforms as well as exhibitions and customer facing meetings.
- Work on other special projects and tasks as needed
Skills/Abilities:

- Technical bachelor’s degree (Chemistry preferred), minimum of 2 to 4 years of technical industry experience, formulation experience and/or ingredient supplier experience is a plus
- Passionate about cosmetics and selling cosmetic ingredients
- Independent and entrepreneurial
- Ability to negotiate and solve problems
- Comfortable giving presentations to small and large audiences
- Knowledge of the global cosmetics industry, market trends, and key accounts
- Significant business travel domestically with overnight travel as needed
- Located partially in an office and partially in a laboratory environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; squatting and kneeling
