PROJECT SCHEDULER
Innovien is currently hiring for a Project Scheduler to join as a resource for one of our clients within the U.S. Gas/Power sector that will be working a hybrid schedule (1-2 days per month in Atlanta, GA/Greenville, SC/Schenectady, NY). This team is responsible for building power plant equipment - including gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and balance-of-plant systems—for companies that build and operate power plants. As a Project Scheduler, you will support a large-scale EPC power plant project, acting as the primary owner of schedule development, integration, updates, and reporting. The ideal scheduler will have strong EPC process knowledge, hands-on Primavera expertise, and the ability to proactively identify schedule risks, constraints, and claim exposure. PROJECT SCHEDULER REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-10 years as a Project Scheduler or Project Controls Specialist - Creating master schedules, planning/monitoring project timelines, tracking progress, and mitigating risks such as delays or increased costs. Owning project cost controls, scheduling, cost estimating, and material coordination
- Expertise with Primavera P6 - Building, updating, and managing complex schedules; performing path and impact analysis; creating schedule reports
- Experience managing schedules for large scale EPC projects - Owning scheduling across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and delivery to site
- Power plant scheduling experience - Power plant equipment/power plant construction builds such as substation, transmission, or distribution projects. Also, open to relevant nuclear power plant experience
- Bachelor’s degree (Business, Engineering, Construction Management, English, or relevant)
PLUS SKILLS:
- Previous experience working for Samsung, Siemens, Hitachi, ABB, Mitsubishi, or local Utility/Power Companies
PROJECT SCHEDULER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, maintain, and manage integrated master project schedules, ensuring accurate planning, monitoring, and progress tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize Primavera P6 to build and update complex, logic-driven schedules; perform critical path, float, and schedule impact analyses; and produce clear, actionable schedule reports.
- Own and coordinate scheduling activities across EPC phases, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and delivery to site, ensuring alignment with overall project and customer schedules.
- Identify schedule risks, delays, and cost impacts early, providing proactive mitigation strategies and timely communication to project stakeholders.
- Support power generation projects by developing schedules for power plant equipment and construction activities, including substations, transmission, distribution, and nuclear power plant projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to ensure schedule accuracy, consistency, and effective decision-making.
