Possible Fulltime Conversion in the Future

In this role, you won't just be writing isolated code you will be the technical architect connecting physical manufacturing operations to core business data. You will spend your days optimizing our Sage X3 ERP ecosystem, building powerful industrial applications on the Ignition SCADA/MES platform, and writing robust SQL queries to keep data pipelines moving seamlessly.

Additionally, you will play a key role in our modernization strategy, helping us maintain a legacy Visual FoxPro (VFP) system over the next two years as we completely phase it out in favor of modern architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• ERP Development: Design, develop, customize, and support technical solutions and workflows within the Sage X3 ERP system to meet evolving business needs.
• Industrial Automation: Develop, deploy, and maintain industrial applications and interfaces using the Ignition (SCADA/MES) platform to optimize plant-floor operations.
• Database Management: Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and relational database schemas to ensure high data integrity and performance.
• Systems Integration: Connect plant-floor data pipelines (Ignition) with enterprise resource planning (Sage X3) to ensure seamless, real-time data flow.
• Legacy Modernization: Maintain and support existing business applications built on Visual FoxPro (VFP), actively participating in the 2-year strategy to deprecate and migrate off this legacy platform.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with manufacturing, IT, and business teams to troubleshoot technical issues, implement enhancements, and deliver scalable infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Core ERP Stack: Proven hands-on experience developing and supporting solutions inside Sage X3 (or a closely related enterprise ERP framework).
• Industrial Platforms: Direct experience building screen layouts, historical data logging, or MES modules within the Ignition platform.
• Database Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SQL (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or similar) you should be highly comfortable writing complex joins, indexing, and debugging data pipelines.
• The Legacy "Plus": Familiarity or prior experience with Visual FoxPro (VFP) or older xBase languages is a massive bonus. You don't need to love it, but you must be willing to support it as we systematically phase it out over the next 24 months.

Salary : $65 - $70
