Our client is an international manufacturer of cell culture media, reagents, specialty chemicals, and advanced processing solutions supporting breakthrough work across biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, cell & gene therapy, and vaccine production and they are looking to identify and hire an Associate Master Data Specialist on a long-term contract basis.
The Associate Master Data Specialist responsibilities include:
- Responsible for data entry and process management for master data related to product formulations and raw material information. Ensures that recipes, processes, and procedures for product manufacture are accurately entered, reviewed, and processed in compliance with business, quality, and compliance requirements. Monitors and edits technical elements of manufacturing documents for accuracy and completeness.
- High attention to detail to set-up and document technical information and requirements for material masters, master recipes, production versions/routers, and inspection plans.
- Ability to perform one essential Master Data duty assignment:
- EMS – create material masters and master recipes (including BOM and PI sheet) and related activities supporting prototype (EMS) operations.
- GMP – create material masters and master recipes (including BOM and PI sheet) and facilitate technology transfer process for all new GMP opportunity related activities.
- Change Request/Site Maintenance/Obsolescence – GMP and Global Sites.
- Perform other tasks as assigned with direct supervision:
- Special Projects – provide support for core data needs in ERP System or any relevant task as assigned by supervision.
- Data Migration – assist in activities for importing legacy data from Jeeves ERP system to SAP based on Commercial needs.
- Other Business needs – Create material masters for other business functions.
- Work effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless transition from document(s) into applicable ERP system(s) for EMS and GMP processing.
- Manage processes traversing several enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, MC, etc.) in complicated, branching processes.
- Augment existing master data records through effective master data stewardship and compliance with good documentation practices.
- Able to use HTML and JavaScript for hyperlinking forms in SAP PI sheets (can use editor software).
- Maintain team-shared log sheet to record output for essential Master Data activities.
- Attend relevant meetings to assigned area and provide work status updates for relevant work or projects.
- Act as the primary contact regarding custom product data in ERP Systems for Quality Assurance, Commercial Team, and Operations departments.
- Support new product development and technology transfer between Research & Development, Quality Assurance, and Operations departments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Data Management, or related field.
- 2 years in a Master Data or closely related job function, where data entry and/or master data process management where high-level of accuracy is demonstrated.
- Experience with ERP systems preferred. SAP experience preferred.
- Experience with CRM and BI software preferred. Salesforce experience preferred.
- Experience with Document Control software and practices preferred. MasterControl preferred.
- High attention to detail.
- Knowledge of enterprise database software.
- Knowledge of Medical Device and Pharmaceutical industry practices preferred.
- Familiarity with GMPs, USP, and ISO 9001/EN13485 preferred.
- Familiar with HTML and JavaScript (editor software acceptable).
- Good time management skills.
- Mathematical skills including conversion between units of measure required.
- Excellent computer and Business Productivity software skills including Excel required.
- Good communication skills for working with a variety of stakeholders in other business functions.
- Ability to adapt to work independently and within a team effectively.
