The Supervisor of Dining Experience is responsible for assuring that Dietary Staff offer residents a healthy dining experience with as much choice and flexibility as available within budget. He/She is a key member of the Dining Experience Team, working to integrate the dining experience into our overall resident’s experience of person-centered care. He/She will be responsible to ensure the Dietary Staff is scheduled, trained, evaluated, competent, and disciplined in regard to related activities to food production and service for residents, day program patients, employees, visitors, volunteers, and students. He/She will maintain compliance with all polices and standards in regards to: customer service, cleaning, food safety, diets, catering, cash control, retail operations, and always assures inspection readiness. He/She will be supportive of Inglis’ mission person centered care principles and financial boundaries. He/She enables staff to achieve success, build positive work environment and to build a strong team. It is essential that all duties be performed with the highest level of integrity, supports Inglis Values and Standards of Excellence and ensures compliance with regulatory agencies.

What You'll Do
Job-Related Responsibilities
- Role models the Foundation’s commitment to quality and consumer safety.
- Ensures departmental compliance with all infection control, safety and applicable city, county, and state health regulations are met.
- Implement and monitor sanitation procedures, food handling practices and personal hygiene requirements.
- Adheres to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of Inglis residents.
- Inventories and orders food products and supplies on a regular basis to ensure adequate supplies are maintained.
- Ensures that food/meals are served in a timely, attractive and tasteful manner and that resident food preferences are met.
- Develops and implements standards for efficient, sanitary and nutritious food service for the purpose of ensuring quality and quantity of food service and preparation.
- Ensures compliance with all HACCP guidelines, records temperatures, and conducts inspections.
- Complies with all Inglis and departmental policies regarding safety attendance, dress, conduct, work related injury, and reports all fire and safety hazards appropriately.
- Works with Clinical Dietitian, Nurse or Director before making substitutions on patient special diet menus.
- High School diploma or equivalent. Three to five (3-5) years’ relevant experience. Prior experience in Dietary or Food Service Department, preferably in a healthcare environment. Familiar with Infection Control procedures and OSHA requirements. Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment. Demonstrated excellent communication skills.
- Strong program and project management skills with the ability to create charters and project plans to define, align, and track and execute the work.
- Individuals must be an employee champion by developing employee and organizational relationships and understands; values and promotes diversity.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills, demonstrate the ability to understand, interpret and uphold Inglis policies.
- Ability to interface and communicate effectively with leaders and all other functions in the Company. Excellent written and presentation skills.
