We're hiring a Manufacturing Equipment Reliability Technician to keep our Flexan production operation in Lincolnshire, IL (500 Bond St, running smoothly on 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday (130pm - 10pm). Pay starts at $25 - $35 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Why this role matters
- Uptime is everything. You'll minimize downtime on molding machines, extruders, and auxiliary/processing equipment.
- Quality depends on process control. You'll calibrate equipment and complete meticulous setup documentation.
- Safety and compliance drive performance. You'll uphold cleanroom standards, safety practices, and manufacturing procedures.
Key impact areas
- Execute material change-overs on liquid injection machines according to the weekly plan.
- Own the setup and adjustment of tooling, machines, and auxiliary systems; complete all paperwork accurately.
- Troubleshoot alarms and faults using structured problem-solving (5-Why); recommend tool/machine repairs.
- Lead root-cause investigations for major failures; present findings to the Maintenance Manager.
- Propose and implement maintenance improvements that raise productivity and reduce cost and failure risk.
- Open and close work orders promptly; foster teamwork and share best practices across shifts.
- Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and megohmmeters.
- Ensure compliance with traceability, process control, safety, housekeeping, and cleanroom attire/contamination control.

Must-haves
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 years of Preventive Maintenance or Maintenance Technician experience in manufacturing.
Technical strengths
- Read/interpret prints and electrical schematics; use gauges and inspection tools.
- Expertise with compressors, chillers, and water softener systems.
- Strong troubleshooting under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.
- Clear, professional communication; detail-first documentation.
Preferred
- Technical degree.
- Ability to read and understand prints and electrical schematics.
- Ability to read, use and interpret measuring devices, gauges and inspection tools.
- In-depth knowledge of compressors, chillers, and water softener systems.
- On-time delivery against internal and customer deadlines.
- Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Work & pay details
- Location: Lincolnshire, IL (on-site only); no travel.
- Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday (130pm - 10pm).
- Pay: $25 - $35 per hour Based on Experience.
- Pay Range: Starting Pay will range between $ $35.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, hourly position.
