The responsibilities of the position include designing, developing, and implementing engineering solutions to support our diverse range of products and services. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and a strong commitment to quality and innovation. You will work closely with Product Management, Customer Service, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to design custom solutions for unique customer applications in a Global Market.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret Customer Specifications to appropriate size and offer the correct product for their application.
- Creation of 3D Models, Drawings, P&IDs, and other documentation as the project requires.
- Process the orders received for Engineered Solutions by creating the required part numbers, Bills of Materials, and test procedures required for production to build, test, and ship the product.
- Provide costing to Product Management for the custom solution that Engineering designs.
- Daily work in Salesforce, PTC Windchill and SAP to execute Quotations, Orders, and Technical Questions as required.
- Support product engineering and operations initiatives (NPD, i2V, product rationalization, etc.) through business case analysis and project execution.
- Determines the development or purchase of capital equipment.
- Interacts with design, manufacturing and suppliers.
- Assists internal and external suppliers with processing problems and troubleshooting to find root causes.
- Ensures safety designed into all processes and implements safety corrective actions required to eliminate safety risks.
- Attend various online meetings as required with internal and external customers as it relates to projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- 4 years of experience in an engineering role in manufacturing or industrial environment.
- 3 years of experience with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoDesk, PTC Creo) and other engineering tools.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of engineering principles, CAD software, and industry standards.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex issues creatively and effectively.
- Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects with strong organizational skills.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability and Innovation: Flexibility to adapt to changes, openness to new ideas, and drive continuous improvement.
