Pay Rate: $55.30 to 64.92/Hr
Duration: Direct Hire
Location: Cleveland, OH (100% Onsite)
Shift timing: 7 AM to 4 PM (Monday to Friday)

We are looking for a Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Manager
Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of SHE and management systems to ensure environmental regulatory compliance and our SHE programs at the Cleveland facility.
- Duties will encompass a variety of SHE areas.
- Manage compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Performs SHE inspections as required.
- Determine priorities for safety and health investigations in our diverse work areas and make assignments accordingly.
- Determine sampling priorities for the institution and request the necessary budget resources to accomplish goals.
- Develop and recommend appropriate engineering or work process modifications to prevent worker illness or injury.
- Provide follow-up assessment of recommendations.
- Administer our UA Employee Health, Safety, and Environmental management practices under the OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14000 Standards.
- Administers dispensary services.
- Develop reports and recommendations independently.
- Assist other employees in developing reports and recommendations.
- Participate in an interdisciplinary team to discuss multidisciplinary approaches to resolving safety & health issues.
- Make recommendations with respect to equipment purchase, engineering controls, workspace planning, and work process planning.
- Provide leadership and direction to professional and technical staff and participate in the professional development of staff.
- Maintain current knowledge and documentation for OSHA SARA, CWA, local state insurance fund, and CAAA Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as national consensus standards and Group Procedures.
- Supervises and updates proper control over the collection, identification, segregation, transportation, recovery, and disposal of all hazardous and non-hazardous wastes in Cleveland.
- Includes the development of engineering procedures for the minimization of these wastes to comply with applicable SHE rules and regulations.
- Acts as SHE liaison with other internal facilities.
- Manages emergencies and makes recommendations to management.
- In conjunction with local agencies and our personnel, coordinates safety activities such as emergency and contingency plan drills.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- BS in Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Working knowledge of Federal and State SH&E regulations.
- SHE Management - 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in chemical manufacturing.
- CSP certification desired.

Salary : $55 - $65
