Material Planner/Scheduler

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling management, ensuring accurate tracking and analysis of production timelines.
• Plan, schedule, and maintain the sales plan while supporting production order execution.
• Create and manage work orders based on start dates, maintaining accurate due dates through completion.
• Conduct Can-Build analysis to evaluate build readiness.
• Review pre-order entry requests to verify material and labor availability in alignment with customer requirements.
• Monitor customer demand and develop a balanced, level-loaded Master Production Schedule (MPS).
• Apply standard tools to manage both short- and long-term SIOP capacity planning.
• Optimize inventory levels to achieve high customer service standards while improving inventory turnover.
• Lead cross-functional production meetings and effectively communicate across multiple organizational levels.
• Generate weekly and monthly sales forecasts for assigned product lines.
• Manage Item Master (IM) planning parameters, supporting various replenishment strategies.
• Take ownership of shortage management, including proactive identification, prioritization, and tracking.
• Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to develop preliminary planning BOMs, coordinate prototype builds, and support production readiness initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience; in lieu of a degree, 9 years of directly relevant experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship (sponsorship not available for this role).

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in the aerospace industry within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in production and/or material planning and forecasting operations.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (including formulas, pivot tables, and large dataset analysis).
• Familiarity with bills of material (BOMs) and engineering drawings.
• Exposure to Lean/continuous improvement practices.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
