Job Summary:
The Scheduler is an avital administrative role within our medical office. The candidate is responsible for preparing and maintaining all aspects of the medical providers and APP schedules. The candidate will create and maintain the diagnostic review schedule for the providers. This candidate will ensure the distribution of the schedule adheres to the practice guidelines for all providers including overnight call and weekend coverage distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Physician and APP schedule according to the formula of the practice.
- Enter the information into the various schedule programs
- Update the physician appointment schedules
- Update and communicate changes efficiently and effectively
- Input the diagnostic reviews and ensure no conflicts
- Ensure distribution of the schedule in all areas of the practice
- Serve as a liaison between the providers and other staff members
- Support general office operations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Organizational Skills: Managing complex schedules across multiple providers and departments requires excellent organizational skill. Must be able to prioritize tasks to avoid errors.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication with the medical staff is crucial for efficient operations.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in data entry, scheduling and adhering to the practice guidelines is vital to in a healthcare setting.
- Technology Proficiency:
- Comfort and experience using scheduling software, EHR systems, general software, privacy laws.

Position Requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Proven experience in a healthcare scheduling environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and medical terminology.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports for performance improvement.
- Proficiency in scheduling software, electronic health records (EHR), and MS Office Suite.
- Proficient in typing (minimum 50 WPM)
