Lead Business Analyst || Richmond, VA || Onsite (Local to VA candidates)
We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst to drive high-quality business analysis practices, improve delivery outcomes, and align business and technology teams. This is a people-focused leadership role where you will mentor a team of Business Analysts, remove blockers, and promote best practices across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and standardize BA processes, templates, and documentation (BRDs, RTMs, user stories, process flows)
- Ensure high-quality requirements aligned with business goals and technical feasibility
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and cross-team collaboration
- Act as a liaison between business, IT, and leadership teams
- Support testing (functional, non-functional, data) and ensure delivery quality
- Mentor and coach Business Analysts, providing feedback and improving team capability
- Drive continuous improvement in BA practices, tools, and processes
- Communicate insights, recommendations, and updates clearly to stakeholders and leadership
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of Business Analysis experience
- 3 years in mentoring or leading analysts
- Strong experience in Agile (Scrum/Kanban)
- Expertise in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management
- Experience with tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Experience with BA standards or Center of Excellence
- Background in data integration, data quality, or analytics
- Exposure to testing methodologies and ALM tools
Salary : $70 - $80
