The OpportunityOur client, a trusted industrial repair & overhaul shop in Colorado and Utah, is looking for a Rotating Equipment / Pump Repair Engineer. This role is all about hands-on work: dismantling, repairing, rebuilding, and testing rotating equipment (pumps, motors, gearboxes, impellers, turbines).

ResponsibilitiesLead repair cycles: diagnosis, teardown, rebuild, balancing, alignment, testingApply OEM specifications and drawings to ensure proper tolerances & materialsWork with quality and safety teams to uphold shop standardsAssess repair vs replacement options; coordinate component fabrication when neededMentor junior staff and support process improvementsOccasionally assist with field jobs (removal / installation)
What You Bring5 years of hands-on experience refurbishing pumps and rotating equipmentMechanical diagnostic skills (alignment, balancing, tolerances, wear analysis)Ability to read technical drawings and perform precise measurementsComfortable in a repair shop environment, collaborating with machinists & weldersSafety-first mindset, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication
