Production Manager – Sawmill
Location: Jackman, Maine

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established lumber manufacturer for an experienced Production Manager to lead sawmill operations at its facility in Jackman, Maine.
This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for the day-to-day running of the sawmill. You'll lead supervisors and production employees, drive a strong safety culture, improve operational performance, and ensure production, quality and recovery targets are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the daily operation of the sawmill, ensuring safe and efficient production.
• Manage and develop supervisors and production teams.
• Monitor production performance, recovery and throughput.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
• Work closely with maintenance to optimise equipment reliability.
• Ensure quality standards and production targets are achieved.
• Promote a positive, accountable and safety-focused working environment.
Requirements
• Previous leadership experience within a sawmill or lumber manufacturing operation.
• Experience as a Production Manager, Production Supervisor, Sawmill Supervisor or similar.
• Strong understanding of sawmill production processes and equipment.
• Proven ability to lead teams and improve operational performance.
• Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
