Production Supervisor – Manufacturing
Locations: Binghamton NY
We are seeking experienced Production Supervisors with a strong background in manufacturing to lead daily manufacturing operations and drive performance on the production floor. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Open Shifts:
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Night shift 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily extrusion operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.
- Lead, coach, and develop production team members across shifts; conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
- Monitor extrusion processes (profiles, tubing, sheet, film, compounding, or pipe) and troubleshoot issues related to materials, tooling, or equipment.
- Partner with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
- Implement and support Lean manufacturing initiatives, including waste reduction and process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate production reporting, including scrap rates, efficiency metrics, and labor utilization.
Experience Requirements by Location:
- Binghamton, NY: Flexible; open to candidates with broad manufacturing experience
Qualifications:
- 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership ability with a track record of improving team performance and production output.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and process issues in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
